All about Me

Updated: Jul 31, 2019

Hi there! I will be the first to tell you this is WAY out of my comfort zone. I am actually sitting here trying to type this and saying to myself "what in the world would people care to know about me?!" I guess I will start off with my greatest passions and that is being a wife and mother! I have the two sweetest kids on the planet and you could say I am pretty obsessed with them. Yes, being a mother is hard....really hard sometimes...okay a lot of the times; BUT I am trying to soak in every minute during this crazy life of motherhood. I am married to the hottest Asian I know. He is also the greatest human I know, seriously, if you know my husband you could not imagine a nicer or more genuine guy. I love him! He is also an incredible pianist. That word actually doesn't even do his talent justice, He is basically a prodigy when it comes to the piano. All growing up I have had a love for singing and performing. I honestly never thought I would do much with it other than things around the community or at church. My husband has pushed me to deepen my love and develop my talent to sing and together we have already done things I would have never imagined of doing with music. The best part about it all is sharing the experiences we have performing TOGETHER. It adds a whole new dimension and depth to our relationship and it's pretty rad!

In tribute to Julie Andrews, "these are a few of my favorite things..."

* 50's and 60's music

*rompers and overalls

*Inspiring quotes

*shopping for clothes...especially baby clothes

*decorating

*children's books

*doodling

*making things beautiful

* anything with cookie dough or caramel is instantly my favorite food

I graduated from Southern Utah University with a double major in Special Education and Elementary Education. I love to teach! I had the wonderful opportunity to teach for three years as a 2nd and 1st grade teacher. Incorporating music into my teaching was a must and added a whole new level of learning into my classroom. I even had the opportunity of directing a musical theater after school choir with over 100 students. I thought I was living my dream as I directed that choir. Then I became a mother. I have to pinch myself every day as I get to hang out and raise these tiny humans. I love coming up with activities, games, songs, dances...you name it to do with my little toddler that help him learn and explore the world around him. My goal with this blog is to help other Moms find joy in this crazy, chaotic journey called MOTHERHOOD and to connect with other moms, musicians and teachers! Let's do this! *insert fist pump here*
